Amy will be at Live Theatre, Newcastle from Monday 17 to Friday 21 October to R&D her new show MS is my Boyfriend.
It’s about what multiple sclerosis is really like. You’ve heard all the usual things, like stay positive and you’ll get through it. But what if being negative helps you more? What if the things that have happened to you as a result of having MS have been a bit shit, actually? Maybe your friends weren’t there for you, or your family thought you were legit cray, or you lost your orgasm because of nerve damage. We want to think about all of the bad, as well as all of the good, and let people know what living with an invisible illness like MS is really like.
If you’re living with MS (or with someone who is) we’d love to invite you down to Live for some tea and cake, and hear what MS is to you. If you can’t get down to the theatre you can still get involved by completing our survey or you can join Amy via Skype (you’ll have to sort your own cake though).
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to get involved.
Travel expenses will be covered.
